Flowering Plants

Apomorphies distinguishes the flowering plants from other seed plants. Almost every person loves to plant flowers in their garden. Angiosperms that is flowering plants consist of almost 90% of the kingdom plants. During the last 130 million years, flowering plants and angiosperms have acquired almost every conceivable habitat on earth, from windswept alpine summits to hot deserts, fertile grasslands to freshwater marshes and from mountain meadows to dense forests.

Fresh flowers are the best option we can choose to give as gift. But however you take care of them, finally they will stale and die. Often fresh cut flowers are the first preference of everyone buying flowers but apart from these, there is another category of plants. Flowering plants is that other category which can offer beautiful blossoms and the plants can last longer than fresh cut flowers. The flowering plants are good looking and also last longing which makes them a beautiful way to congratulate or greet someone on any occasion.

Many people are unknown of the flowering plants. If you are the one, do not worry as there are many people in the list. As discussed above, there is lots of diversity in flowering plants.

1] Violets – These delightful, fuzzy plants will bloom several times each year and will live for many years with proper care.
2] Phalaenopsis Orchid – These wonderful, visually-impressive plants will usually bloom in fall when temperatures begin to drop.
3] Rose – Mini versions of the larger bushes planted outdoors, rose plants bring the beauty of roses indoors and bloom several times each year.
4] Poinsettias – These winter favorites can live for months after the holidays.
5] Blooming cactus – Thorny and usually rather uniform in looks, a blooming cactus flowers several times a year (Christmas cacti bloom annually) and are quite dramatic.
6] Easter lily – Frequently seen in churches during the Easter season, Easter lilies bloom for several weeks while in season.
7] Hyacinths – These spring blooms sprout from bulbs that can be planted after they begin to fade indoors.

Flowering plants require some care different from normal plants which will increase the life of these plants. The important thing is that flowering plants should get lots of sunlight, usually around 6 hours of sunlight is sufficient.
