President Woodrow Wilson announced Mother’s Day as a National Holiday in America on 9 May, 1914. With this official day, people were allowed to celebrate and honor their mothers as they chose to. Mother’s Day flowers are a symbol of love and honor toward mothers for their non-stop support of their children and rest of the family.
